I know that somewhere in the Philippines, many incoming seniors are nervous about the UPCAT like me. If tomorrow will be the exam I can say that I am not yet prepared for it. I need more time to review.
I’m sure that many of us (incoming seniors) are searching for tips on how to pass UPCAT. The first thing we should do is to review and second, is to pray. Prayer is very powerful but we can’t just pray then be lazy or party all night. We have to study very very well. We have to believe that we can pass and ask for the guidance of our Lord.
Time is running. Always remember that time won’t wait for us. Every minute is important. I know some of you would say “we stilll have three months and duh?! It’s summer! We need vacation!” It’s not that I’m being obedient and nerd here. I am also lazy! I don’t do my homework. I go to school then copy the answers of my classmates. I still have 1 year to do that. Haha. That’s why you can’t say that Pisay scholars are selfish! Anyway, three months isn’t enough. Technically, we only have 2 months left. This whole May and combine June and July. Of course we can’t review all day for UPCAT. There’s also for our academics in school right?
Do your best and God will do the rest.
Haixtz. -.-
Sana by the end of summer, may napiling course na ako. </3
It’s already April, but I’m still not done with the clearance! Well, the whole class of 3-Silicon (my class) is not yet done with the clearance, that means no one in my section is enrolled yet,..or at least until we finish the mural (for Soc Sci), the scrapbook (for HRG & English), and the revisions needed for our paper in Research.
April 3rd. The day I went back to school to finish what I started to finish my clearance. The teachers are going to have a meeting at 1:30 in the afternoon, so all requirements needed for clearance should be submitted for clearance-signing. Beyond the time allotted,… well, I don’t really know what would happen if I don’t get my clearance signed before 1:30. Maybe I’ll just come back to school this coming June. Hihi.

Thank God the mural’s finished! Hooray!
And BTW, this happened earlier, before the mural was done:

ROFL. [L-R] Law, Eman, Exel
And while waiting for the HRG-English-and-Adviser clearance-signing, vanity strikes once again:

^ Le me & Marie
And so… the rest of the morning went by and we got hungry, so we went outside of Pisay to eat lunch at Graceland.

Would you look at that! And by the way, mine’s the number 34 (and Bianca’s as well). Hihi. Mga sibaera ini. LOL. Scratch that.

Some dose of vanity before we leave the restaurant:

Oh we just love the big mirrors at Graceland! Teehee.
The four of us (see picture above) went to Biggs afterwards..just to eat dessert. Haha.

Tada! COOKIES N CREAM SHAKE WITH VANILLA ICE CREAM.
As we finished pampering ourselves to the delicious dessert, we went back to Pisay to finish our clearance. We waited until the meeting was over. Luckily, our Research adviser agreed to sign our clearance if and only if we comply for his requirements on or before school year 2013-2014 starts (or in that case, June 2). It was his signature that we are waiting for (next to the Registrar’s, that is). After his signing, we immediately hurried to the Registrar’s office to get our admission slip for it was already 4 in the afternoon.

And now, I have this ^ to bring home. :) I’m enrolled! Well, TEMPORARILY. But as my destiny classmate said, “TECHNICALLY, I’M ENROLLED!”
**Now we just need to finish the revisions of our Research paper before June 2. Well, at least I have all summer to get this paper done. ;)
KIDDING. :PP
“Medals aren’t really made of gold or silver or bronze. They’re made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.”
Hello there, Heather & Kayslein. ^_^
A famous advice from one of my classmates, as also said in my post before this. Well, it’s clearance week(what?!). Time flies so fast, they say. Me too, I considered my junior life as one of the fastest, maybe due to the fact that being 3rd year older siblings was very busy and stressful, not to mention Research. But still, this post’s not about that. It’s about the busiest and most stressful week in the school year. Guesses? No need, you know it, it’s already at the top, it’s CLEARANCE WEEK.
“Wait, maam!”. “Sir! Pasign po!”. “*insert name here*, ilan pa kulang mo?”. The mentioned, and many more expressions will be the hot terms for that period of time. Not trending, but hot, like sizzling chili sauce. I remember my sophomore clearance week when even though it was already April, I was still chasing teachers and other faculty members. I wish I would’ve chased them while wearing a horse helmet so that I’d look like Sarah Jessica Parker and they’ll be the one chasing after me. Just kidding. So here’s some tips I’ve learned for a non-stressful clearance week. Not actually non-stressful, but at its minimum. Here’s the list:
-Always write notes in Chem, Research and Soc Sci. These are the main subjects that’ll usually, only need a notebook with complete notes. Other subjects may apply to this.
-Accomplish forms before March. Get your ID picture. Do all your med forms(especially the FECALYSIS), guidance forms, dorm forms, etc before March, because when the third month arrives, free time will be scarce.
-Don’t stack projects in the last week. The teachers give their project requirements early. But they’ll assign the deadline on the same week. Don’t procrastinate, fellow Pisayano. Don’t be a fool.
-Don’t be lazy. If you know you still have requirements undone,do it. Finish it. There’s no time for relaxing especially when your number of vacation days are at stake!
-Start with the one with the least requirements, then the lesser and so on. I always start at the library. It gives you more hope, btw, and looking at signed forms gives motivation.
Many more tips are not stated. Ask other kuyas and ates about it, we have the experience. Have a, as much as possible, a fun hell week. It’s the last week of the school year, for your info.
Tss. I still need to go back to Pisay on Tuesday. Still not finished with the clearance. -___-
Last 18th of March, we had our photo shoot. We were asked to wear anything red for the first part of our class photo shoot. Here are some of the pictures during the photo shoot: (Photo credits to Sir Tom & Ma’am Macor ^_^)
Location: Sa may harap ng admin bldg.

As you can see, all of us wore red..well, except Bianca (the girl in pink). HAHAHA. Maybe she’s colorblind or something. Kidding. That’s red for her. >:)

Location: Sa may kotse ni Ma’am Macor :)

For the second part of our photo shoot, we wore our summer attire. We’re ready to swing into summer then. ;)
Location: Malapit sa gate ng Pisay

Gosh it was hot. HAHAHA. >:)
Location: Sa may Aca 1

For the last wardrobe change, we wore our sports attire. :)
Location: Sa parking area malapit sa girls’ dorm

Then for the jump shot… Eh kasi sepak takraw DAW yung sports namin eh. HAHAHA. >:)

III-SILICON…SIMPLY THE BEST. I’ll miss you guys. Ang saya ng 10 months na stay ko sa Pisay dahil sa inyo. Ang saya ng Junior year ko dahil sa inyo. Thanks for the memories. Love y’all! :*
The transition from a junior to a senior is surprisingly eerie. It’s a homogenous mix of emotions.
Excitement - I can’t wait to be in the
superioreldest, therefore respected, batch.Eagerness - I can’t wait for school to be over! It’s about time I lived in the real world (though I’ll have to finish college first).
Pride - We made it this far!
Again excitement - We’ll be graduating soon!
Dread - We’ll be graduating soon.
Some friends drift apart after high school, but I don’t want to have some friends. I want to have real friends. And I don’t want our friendship to go away as we go away to our respective universities ourselves. I want it to last.
Right now, I just want to get lost in another school year of fun and distract myself from the possibility that I won’t see some of my batchmates for a long time.
Right now, I hope I’m wrong.
Registration is supposed to end at around 6:45 P.M. Luckily, I arrived maybe five minutes ahead of time? Hehe. Just as I arrived at the venue, I saw my Prom date…and he’s sooo damn gorgeous. LOL. XD My Prom date and I were the 36th couple to register. Haha! Atleast we’re not the last pair. :PP
Le me and Prom date:
“I had found my prince. Now he just needs to realize I’m his princess.”
The line was so long, the crowd was insane (LOL XD), and the girl (you know who you are! Haha. Kidding! :PP) behind me just couldn’t get enough of my gown. She (unknowingly) keeps on stepping on my gown. Haha! XD Though I couldn’t blame her totally ‘cause even I couldn’t get enough of my gown.
I had an epic entrance. Haha! Every step I take, my feet just keep on stepping on my gown. And I don’t even know why. T_T I had trouble going up the stairs. Imagine the four freaking floors I have to endure. If only we could use the elevator, it’d be much easier for my part. XD
We were assigned to sit at the 5th (I think XD) table.
Le table mates:
I didn’t really enjoy the first part of the event ‘cause we needed to change outfits immediately and to do that, we still need to go out of the room to change. Right after the Invocation, my classmates and I headed to the restroom to change clothes from gown to cocktail dresses for the class presentation. Our class was assigned to dance Tango. And this is me and my partner:

Would you look at that, we have matching outfits! Haha.

After the presentation, my classmates and I headed out of the room for another outfit change. From cocktail dresses, then back again to our gown. Then after the Cotillion, we had dinner, socials, picture-taking, etc. I had a hard time dancing because of my gown. After fast songs came the slow songs. I didn’t count the times I had danced with him, but just knowing that he’s gonna be my last dance, that’s good enough for me. x) Oh why did the last song ended so soon? If only it could last forever. Haha! Prom soon ended at 1 A.M. the next day. Atleast there’s still something I could look forward to next school year - JS PROM 2014.
For as long as I will remember, this is the best night of my life. And it’s all because of you. :”> Charooot! XD
